Children & Young People.

Independent Advocacy Perth & Kinross support children and young people up to 18 years of age who have either a learning disability, autism or experience mental health issues and who feel they would like advocacy support.

It can be difficult for children and young people to be heard, included and respected due to barriers and imbalances of power. An independent advocate can support them to navigate the systems and ensure their rights are upheld. We can support a child or young person by speaking for them or being by their side while they speak, to make sure their views are heard and they understand the information being given to them.
