Independent Advocacy Perth & Kinross supports
How can we help?
IAPK provides independent advocacy for people who are affected by alcohol and substance dependency with a rights based approach to improve access to local supports, navigate systems such as child protection and maximise their personal resources and power.
We can:
- Help you to prepare for meetings – what you want to say
- Attend meetings with you or for you
- Provide you with information to enable you to make informed decisions
- Help you look at and consider your options
- Help you to access a solicitor
We will:
- Support you in expressing your views, and represent your views if necessary
- Respect your individuality and your right to be socially included
We will not:
- Judge what you say, think or feel
- Tell you what you should do
- Encourage you to make a particular decision
